Like photograms, or shadows, these images are formed by the deflection of particles – in this case, metal granules under the influence of gravity.

The use of cast iron brake grindings and non-traditional process could suggest an impersonal cataloguing of these products, but the results are soft and atmospheric, with traditional elements. There is a similar contrast between the objects’ industrial origins and their domestic use.
